Come join us for Homeschool Calligraphy Camp!
4 total hours of instruction, $35, Starter Kit included
Thursday, Januray 25th and Friday January 26th from 10:30 - 12:30 each day. We will explore 3 different types of calligraphy and lettering: traditional pen and ink, brush markers and watercolor lettering. All supplies included, and students will go home with a nib and holder, a small pot of ink and a Fudenosuke brush marker. 
 
Ages 11 to 18 (middle school and high school) are welcome! An advanced 5th grader may be able to participate with instructor approval but please know this is a mixed age class.
 
We will cover:
proper technique (this is not simply copying letters but learning HOW to do the artform of calligraphy
upstrokes and downstrokes
putting strokes together into letters
letters into words
spacing and paper set-up
exploration of three different mediums of calligraphy: nib and ink, brush markers and watercolor brush calligraphy
 
Calligraphy Camp will be held at Studium at Northfield School, Hull House

Studium at Northfield School is a 6th - 12th grade Liberal Arts School. There may be 5 or 6 Studium students that join this Calligraphy Camp.
