Intro to Modern Calligraphy + Word of the Year

Come learn the beautiful skill of modern pointed pen calligraphy! This class is suitable for beginners or those who have begun to learn calligraphy but desire in person instruction. After this class, you will go home and be able to practice with confidence! Plus, we will add a mini workshop to the end to help you choose your word of the year! 
 
Skills taught:
How to insert your nib into your holder
Proper dipping technique
Troubleshooting with your nib/getting started well
Simple strokes
Upstrokes and downstrokes
Correct pressure
Simple lowercase and uppercase alphabet
Connecting letters into words
 
This class will teach you HOW to write your letters, not just copy them. You will go home with your workbook from class and your starter kit, which includes a holder, two different nibs, and a small pot of ink. At checkout, you may add a pad of Rhodia paper (recommended for practice, but NOT required for class.)

Cost: $49 + tax, includes starter kit, may add Rhodia pad of paper at checkout for an extra $13 (paper is not required for class but I recommend purchasing a pad to practice with. This is the gold standard for paper and will last you a long time!)
